Changing the subject, his dad asks him if Saturday would be
a good day to start. Deacon tells him
that would be great and he would bring Greg with him, early.
Frank asks him, “My early or your early?”
Deacon smiles and clarifies, “Your early.”
The rest of the family comes out to join them on the patio,
carrying a cake and a container of ice cream.
Judy asks Deacon if he will light the candles and he does. With candles lit they sing to Sara and enjoy
the rest of their evening together. As
the sun begins to set, Deacon tells his family he had probably better get going
home because he has to be up early, the one down side to the beer business.
Sara sends the kids to give him a hug and Deacon gives the
rest of them a hug except for Tom, who he playfully slaps on the back of the
head on his way out of the gate leading out of the backyard.
On the way home Deacon calls Greg to ask him if he would
mind going to his parent’s house with him to help him build the pergola for his
mom, Saturday morning. Greg tells him he
will but that Deacon is driving, since he has been laid off Deacon’s early is
way too early. Deacon agrees. Deacon thanks
him and they both hang up.
