Lana looks at Greg a little puzzled. Deacon walks back to his bedroom grabs a
couple of blankets, his pillow, and his calendar from his bedside table. The three of them stay up discussing what
could be possibly going on. Lana is concerned
about her brother. Deacon asks them if
either one of them had heard from Crissy. Lana tells him that she had tried calling her
earlier that day. She had left a
message, but still hadn’t heard back from her yet. Greg yawns, tells Lana that they should go to
bed and try and get some sleep. Lana
agrees. Deacon begins making his bed on
the couch. Lana walks over to him and
gives him a hug.
Greg also gives him a hug, “Thanks for letting us stay
here.”
Deacon assures him that they are welcome any time.
Laying down Deacon thinks to himself, “What the hell is
happening?”
He takes the calendar off of the end table, writes in one
hundred and thirty six. Circling it, he
puts the calendar back on the table. Deacon is emotionally drained. Closing his eyes he quickly falls asleep.
